What money can't buy and the moral limits of the market was a touching piece that sparked a few reflections. First off I think it is undoubtedly true that there are limits in terms of the feelings and emotions commodities can bring to you. Sure there is the gateway argument which makes sense however money cannot buy you tangible emotion and feeling. It can buy you objects and social class that might lead you towards your desired destination, however commodities do not equal happiness. I also agree that the market can have seriously negative effects on individuals in the sense that it can dominate the trajectory of your emotional landscape and family life. It has the potential to turn us into people whose lives are run by CNBC and the Dow Jones.
